Halophila Thouars

The taxonomic considered here follows Kuo (2020), with minor changes to include the taxa described by Ohba & Miyata (2007, 2020). It must be noted, however, that Kuo's treatment is based entirely on morphological characters (some microscopic) and requires molecular confirmation, particularly within the Halophila ovalis compex and close relatives.
